How Daily Check-In Calls for Seniors Work

From the daily call to the moment your family is alerted, here is exactly what happens.

In short: Each day at a time you choose, an automated call goes out. Your loved one answers and presses 1 to confirm they are okay. If they miss it, the service calls again, and if there is still no answer, it alerts their Care Circle of family and friends.
1

Choose a time

Pick the time of day for the daily check-in call, and add up to eight people to the Care Circle.

2

Answer and press 1

The call comes through. Your loved one answers and presses 1 to confirm they are okay.

3

Missed? We retry

If the call is missed, the service calls back several times over the next hour.

4

Family is alerted

If there is still no answer, the Care Circle is notified by phone, text, or email.

Three ways to check in

Checking in is simple

There is more than one way to check in, so it fits how your loved one already uses the phone.

  • Answer and press 1 when the daily call comes through.
  • Text OK from a registered phone to check in early.
  • Call the check-in number anytime from a registered phone.

Checking in early by text or call cancels that day's scheduled call.

What if my loved one misses the daily call?

The service retries several times. If it still cannot reach them, it notifies the Care Circle by phone, text, or email.

Is this an emergency service?

No. It is daily reassurance, not emergency response. For an emergency, press a medical alert button or call 911.
